Water main shutdown hits Whittenton Street Oct. 22

The Town of Taunton announced Oct. 21 that the Water Department, working with Celco Construction, will shut down a water main on Whittenton Street to perform essential work.
The shutdown is scheduled for Oct. 22, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. It will affect approximately 20 residences located between 242 and 254 Whittenton Street.
The town said crews will work as quickly as possible to minimize disruption and apologized for any inconvenience. Residents in the affected area may notice reduced water pressure or discolored water during the shutdown.
