Taunton Public Schools announced changes to Taunton High School football game day procedures, taking effect Friday, Oct. 30, when THS hosts Franklin.

The changes include a new student pickup location, roadway closures beginning at 5 p.m., and a revised departure route after the game. The school asked caregivers and students to review the procedures and an attached traffic map, particularly those dropping off or picking up a student.

Fans are encouraged to buy tickets in advance through GoFan on the THS Athletics website, though spectators without website access may purchase tickets in person by showing a photo ID. All high school-age students, including those from the visiting school, must show a current school-issued ID to enter. Students below high school age must attend with an adult, and drop-offs are not permitted for them. Backpacks and bags of any size are not allowed at the game.

Starting at 5 p.m., detail officers will be on campus to direct traffic, and the roadway between the high school and the football field entrance, previously used for student drop-off, will be closed to vehicles.

After the game, attendees are asked to leave the stadium promptly and go directly to their vehicle or the designated pickup area, avoiding gathering near the concession stand. The Baseball Lot exit will follow the roadway toward the softball field, a route that runs opposite the roadway's usual one-way pattern; officers will reverse the flow after kickoff. Lot B and the Parker Middle School lot will exit toward Williams Street.

Caregivers picking up high school students or band members should use the new pickup area in front of Parker Middle School, along the throughway leading to the Auditorium/Field House.
